A Blue Flower

An exploration of the relationships between three generations of women, A BLUE FLOWER is based on the acclaimed work “A Play About Mirjana and Those Around Her” by playwright and screenwriter Ivor Martinić.

Our protagonist Mirjana is showing clear signs of having a mid-life crisis. She’s stuck in a largely unrewarding job whilst having an ongoing affair with her married boss.

Divorced, with an intractable daughter, Mirjana is dreading an impending visit from her emotionally unavailable mother. To make matters worse her 20-year work anniversary celebration is threatening to derail her past, present and possible future.

A BLUE FLOWER was nominated in the Best Film category at the Moscow International Film Festival and won Best Film, Best Actress and Best Director at Croatia’s own Pula Film Festival in 2021.

With visually masterful storytelling, moody production design and a progressive rock soundtrack, A Blue Flower delivers a highly satisfying cinematic experience to anyone interested in the human condition!
